N50m Scam: Enugu Assemblyman exposes fresh list of criminals

Edeh said this through a statement exclusively obtained by ALUTA EXPRESS on Friday.

“I am happy that we are all alive to witness the last phase of the year 2023. We own all thanks to God Almighty, the giver of life, health and wisdom.

“We have already lined up number of activities for the months ahead. And like all of the things we have already done, our focus shall remain only on the people who gave us the mandate.

“The people are the godfathers I know and it in them that my loyalty lies first,” the statement read in part.

Thanking his people once again for the success of the March 18 elections, the Assemblyman who is the House Committee on Transportation said the time to save his people has come.

ALUTA EXPRESS has reported extensively on ineffective representation and outright wickedness by the privileged few in Aninri.

Last month, a committee was raised to probe the notorious multimillion Nenwe market project; about N50 million was once earmarked to build a market in Nenwe, Aninri. But before the project could see the light of the day, the native gladiators intercepted, seized the money and shared it into their personal pockets.

Names of past council chairmen, lawmakers, a powerful traditional ruler and political appointees appear in this list, according to infallible sources.

However, Magnus Edeh, a man noted for his hardline stance against the rising oligarchs and who is generally considered as a political outsider, is the chairman of the committee to investigate how over fifty million naira meant for Nenwe market vanished into private purses.

His new month message, although cleverly shrouded, has heightened the suspense, dreams and hopes among Aninri constituents who are eagerly waiting for help to exit decades of political barrenness.
